TERRORIST ATTACK IN PAKISTAN

MINGORA: At least 12 people were killed including two security personnel and 4 women while 37 others were hurt in a suicide blast in Mingora, Swat on Monday.

Eye witnesses said a suicide bomber rammed himself into a vehicle of security forces causing a loud blast.

The powerful explosion also damaged a number of vehicles parked nearby as well as shops, DIG Malakand Muhammad Idrees Khan said. However, he said nothing could be said at this point about the blast being suicidal.

The security forces cordoned off the area after the blast while the injured were shifted to Saido Sharif Hospital where emergency was declared.

Eight of the wounded brought to the hospital are in critical condition, said the MS of the hospital. Four seriously injured have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.

Security has been high alerted in Mingora following the tragic incident, police sources said.
